Heady Heights After Wolves Draw

Promising Start Continues In The Midlands

Man of the moment Andy Carroll earned Newcastle a draw with a 2nd half equaliser in what sounded like a feisty encounter down at Molineux. It continues a promising and steady start for the Magpies and sees them up at the heady heights of 5 place after Saturdays results.

Of course there are still games to be played and the season is only 3 games in so positions don't really matter at this point in time but at the same time psychologically its good to be as high as possible and be gaining as many points as you can.

I probably sound like a broken record as I keep banging on about this but our season will be decided by our home form and picking up points on our travels at places like Wolves so after last Sunday's win at St James' and a point today things are certainly looking promising.

By the sounds of things the team were unlucky not to take all 3 points as they started off much the better side but I think you have to take the positives out of getting a point away from home and especially coming from behind to gain that point.

The team seem to be building a little bit of momentum and whilst it may be a bad thing that the international break now doesn't see us back in action for a couple of weeks it could actually be a blessing at this stage of the season. Players will still be finding their fitness so a bit of a rest may be good and it also gives anyone carrying a knock a chance to get back to full fitness. Also the transfer window closes in the next few days so for any new players coming in it will also give them an extended few days training with their new team mates before we are back in action against Blackpool at home.

Without getting carried away that next fixture certainly gives us agood chance of 3 more points which would represent a really good start to the season. Lets just hope we can keep this positive vibe going for as long as possible.

What do people think, was today a point gained or 2 points dropped? What are people's thoughts on the season so far?
